I'M NOT THE ARTIST.
I'M THE PRODUCER.

I wasn't supposed to be a creative. I studied marketing. In 2008 my VP handed me Photoshop and said figure it out, and I've been figuring it out ever since, through a master's at Pratt, a record label, a bank, and now a company where I am the entire creative department.

All of it taught me the same thing: I'm not the artist. I'm the producer. A producer hears the finished record before anyone plays a note, then gets everybody to it. The writer, the retoucher, the animator, the freelancer, and lately a stack of AI tools that will cheerfully hand you a thousand beautiful wrong answers. My job is knowing which one is right early enough that nobody spends a week on the other nine hundred and ninety-nine.

The other thing I learned is that there's no such thing as a rational category. People assume music is feeling and finance is math. It's backwards. Nobody has ever been neutral about their money. They're scared of it, superstitious about it, quietly ashamed of what they don't know. Find that, say it plainly, and the design finally has something to do.

Outside of this: running, a camera with no brief attached to it, and my family dragging me somewhere new.

Fifteen years of making people feel something about an album, a bank, and a retirement plan means I find the true thing faster than I used to. That's the whole job now. The tools got fast. Taste didn't. The experience is the multiplier.
